Shift Times: When working Mon-Fri theshifts are 11 am - 7 pm. | When working the weekend it’s Mon-Weds 7 am -

  • 2:00 pm, Sat 7 am - 7 pm and Sun 7 am - 2:00 pm

As a Chef de Partie with Sodexo at Nuffield Health Woking Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience.

You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals for patients, staff and hospitality services, following agreed recipes and standards.
  • Ensure meals are delivered on time while meeting individual dietary and allergen requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness, following all company and legal regulations.
  • Complete daily food safety records, including temperature checks, cleaning schedules and food waste reporting.
  • Support the smooth running of the kitchen, including cleaning equipment, checking food stock and rotating dates.
  • Provide a friendly, professional and welcoming service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering and ward teams, taking responsibility for the kitchen when required, including alternate weekends.

What you bring

  • Experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen environment.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene, food safety and health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to prepare high-quality meals while working efficiently in a busy environment.
  • A positive, team-focused approach with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • An understanding of special dietary, allergen and nutritional requirements, or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to keep accurate records and minimise food waste.
  • Flexibility to work a rota that includes weekends and to support the wider catering team when needed.
