An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated CAMHS Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Witham area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers. This is an exceptional mental health service providing high standards of treatment for a various range of mental health difficulties.
As the CAMHS Therapist your key duties include:
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children, young people, and their families to support positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- Lead family-focused therapy sessions aimed at enhancing relationships, improving communication, and addressing interpersonal difficulties within the family unit.
- Work in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary CAMHS team to assess needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and review progress throughout care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of family relationships and environmental influences to identify factors impacting a young person's psychological wellbeing.
- Provide practical advice, psychoeducation, and emotional support to families, helping them develop effective coping strategies and build resilience during the young person's inpatient admission.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Comprehensive knowledge of family systems theory, supported by expertise in evidence-based counselling and therapeutic interventions.
- Demonstrated success in providing therapeutic support to children, young people, and families across clinical, community, or social care settings.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working collaboratively with professionals from a range of disciplines, contributing to coordinated, person-centred mental health and wellbeing services.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, combined with emotional resilience and a commitment to continuous professional learning, enabling responsive, high-quality support that reflects current best practice in family therapy.
The successful CAMHS Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £40,000 - £42,000 per annum. Pay frequency is monthly. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
