Our client runs a small children's residential home providing care and support for young people with a range of needs. What Our Client Is Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar children's residential environment at a senior level — essential
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce — essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People's Management) — achieved or actively working towards
- Strong working knowledge of The Children Act 1989, Children's Home Regulations, and safeguarding procedures
- Proven experience managing budgets within a residential setting
- Full, clean driving licence — essential
- Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties as required
- A genuine, unwavering commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people
Key Responsibilities
- Taking full responsibility for the leadership, management, and day-to-day running of the home
- Ensuring compliance with Children's Home Regulations, The Children Act 1989, and all relevant safeguarding legislation
- Leading, supporting, and developing a dedicated staff team with a shared commitment to the children
- Managing the home's budget and overseeing financial performance
- Acting as Registered Manager with Ofsted, managing inspections and regulatory requirements
- Safeguarding all young people in line with current legislation and best practice
- Building effective relationships with local authorities, families, and multi-agency professionals
- Carrying out on-call duties and working flexibly to meet the needs of the home
