The Adults' Health and Care (AHC) and Children's Services (CSD) Directorates provide vital support to some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Effective workforce and recruitment governance are essential to ensuring we have the right people in the right roles at the right time to deliver our services. As a Resourcing Advisor (Data & Governance), you'll play a key role in managing our recruitment governance processes and maintaining accurate workforce information. You'll oversee the Permission to Recruit (PTR) process, maintain organisational blueprints, provide advice and guidance to managers and stakeholders and produce regular workforce and recruitment reporting. Working closely with managers, colleagues and senior leaders, you'll help ensure workforce data is accurate, recruitment activity is managed in line with agreed controls and decision making is supported by reliable information and insight. Alongside this you’ll also help deliver continuous improvement through the development of tools, processes and ways of working that enhance our efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Permission to Recruit (PTR) process, ensuring requests are progressed in line with agreed governance and establishment controls.
  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries relating to PTRs and organisational blueprints.
  • Maintain workforce establishment data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly workforce and recruitment reports.
  • Carry out data quality checks, investigate discrepancies and maintain robust governance standards.
  • Build effective relationships with managers and stakeholders, providing advice and support on recruitment and workforce processes.
  • Contribute to improving reporting, processes and ways of working across the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of working with workforce, HR or recruitment data and producing management information, with strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse, reconcile and interpret large datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently whilst managing competing priorities.
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within governance processes and ensuring compliance with agreed procedures.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience of working in local government, HR, recruitment or workforce planning would be beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work 25 hours over a minimum of four days per week.
