Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our team on a busy construction site in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous construction or labouring experience who are looking for ongoing work with a reputable contractor. The successful candidate will support site operations, ensuring work areas are maintained to a high standard of safety and cleanliness while assisting trades and site management as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with day-to-day site activities
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials around site
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Carrying out general labouring and site maintenance duties
- Supporting deliveries and stock management
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
- Operating basic hand and power tools where required
- Assisting with site setup and welfare area maintenance
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by site management
Requirements
- Previous experience working on a construction site is preferred
- Good understanding of site health and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties
- Own transport is advantageous but not essential
