Your main responsibilities as an Inventory Planner are the following:
- Placing orders on direct/indirect commodities
- Booking in stock
- Reconciling invoices
- Working with other departments to ensure no gap in supply
- Working with internal/external stakeholders
- Analysing reports
Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process. In your specific role, this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications. You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions/products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat.
You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets.
As an Inventory Planner, you will have a passion for delivering high standards within your job role. You will be prepared to learn and work well in a busy, fast-paced environment. You'll need:

- GCSE grade C or above
- Experience using EXCEL is essential
