Come and join us! We currently have exciting permanent opportunities for Hygiene Operatives to join our team. This post is working Nights. The hours of work and shift patterns are: 5pm - 5am, 4 days on, 4 days off. The rate of pay is: £15.61 per hour.

Our Factory Cleaners are an essential part of our production. Your key responsibilities will be to work within a team to:

  • Clean the factory and machinery to a high standard
  • Maintain up to date records of the cleaning routine

Qualifications:

As our Factory Cleaner you will:

  • Have good attention to detail and a positive, 'can-do' approach.
  • Be passionate about maintaining the cleanliness of our production areas.
  • Be comfortable working in an environment which processes raw meat.

Experience working with chemicals and/or in a factory environment would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process. In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications. You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions/products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat. You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets.
