Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to PCN Senior Leads across the borough.
    • Support the organisation and coordination of PCN-wide activities and programmes.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, trackers, and documentation.
    • Assist with data entry, reporting, and information management as required.
  • Meeting Coordination & Support
    • Organise and coordinate meetings, including scheduling and diary management.
    • Preparing and distributing agendas.
    • Collating and circulating papers.
    • Attend meetings where required and take accurate minutes and action logs.
    • Track and follow up on actions.
    • Maintain forward plans and meeting schedules across PCNs.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Support
    • Act as a point of contact for PCN-related administrative queries.
    • Support communication between PCN Senior Leads, PCN Managers, PCN Clinical Directors, GP practices, and wider system partners (e.g. community services, ICB teams).
    • Draft and circulate communications on behalf of PCNs.
  • BECCOR Contract Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to the delivery and oversight of the Greater Manchester BECCOR contract across Wigan Borough.
    • Maintain documentation, trackers, and reporting aligned to BECCOR requirements.
    • Support coordination of meetings, updates, and communications related to BECCOR delivery.
    • Assist with monitoring performance, milestones, and actions linked to the contract.
    • Support with accurate and timely collation of information for reporting and assurance processes.
  • Governance & Compliance Support
    • Support the maintenance of governance documentation, including policies, terms of reference, and registers (e.g. risk, actions).
    • Ensure documentation is stored and managed in line with information governance requirements.
  • System & Process Support
    • Support the use of digital systems (e.g. MS Teams, shared drives, clinical/admin systems where appropriate).
    • Contribute to improving administrative processes and efficiencies across PCNs.
    • Support audit and assurance processes where required.
    • Perform any additional duties as reasonably requested to support the needs of the PCNs as requested by your line manager.

Person Specification

  • Essential
    • Previous experience in an administrative role.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Experience of minute taking and meeting coordination.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work across multiple teams and priorities.
    • Good IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook).
  • Desirable
    • Experience working in primary care, NHS, or PCN environment.
    • Understanding of PCN structures and services.
    • Experience supporting governance processes.
