Your role:
As an Assistant Business Partner within the HR & OD Front Facing Team, you will work collaboratively with managers, employees, services, schools and partners to deliver high-quality HR and organisational development support. You'll lead and contribute to a range of activity including employee relations, learning and development, apprenticeships, wellbeing, belonging, equality, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement. Working as part of an integrated, multi-skilled team, you will help build workforce capability, drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of organisational and place-based priorities through a flexible, coordinated and outcome-focused approach.

With strong communication and relationship-building skills, you will be confident supporting managers and employees, contributing to service improvements and helping deliver positive workforce outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to support and develop colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of our integrated HR & OD offer.

The contractual hours for this post will be worked across a range of locations to meet the needs of the role and the service. Work will be carried out across Council buildings and/or community venues across the borough. It is our priority to ensure that the role is fulfilled effectively and while there is some flexibility to work from home when service delivery allows, the expectation is that staff will attend the workplace for a minimum of two days per week. However, depending on service requirements, you may be required to work your full contractual hours on site at Council buildings and/or community venues.
