As Executive Assistant, you will provide high-quality, proactive and confidential support to the Wigan & Leigh Hospice Executive Team and Board.

You will play an important role in ensuring our senior leaders are well organised and effectively supported, managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Working closely with the Company Secretary, you will support the Board and its committees, including:

  • Arranging and coordinating Board and committee meetings.
  • Preparing, coordinating and circulating agendas and meeting papers.
  • Taking accurate minutes and maintaining clear and up-to-date action logs.
  • Supporting compliance with meeting terms of reference and good governance practices.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the Executive Team and Board, responding to requests appropriately and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Managing complex diaries and screening and prioritising correspondence.
  • Using Microsoft Office and other IT applications to compile, analyse and present information effectively.
  • Providing administrative and organisational support to Executive Team-led projects.
  • Supporting good governance and helping the hospice meet its statutory, regulatory and legal obligations.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider hospice administrative team and providing cross-cover when required.

You will build effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation and contribute to a professional, supportive and values-led working environment.

The role may occasionally require some out-of-hours working.
