We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our Student Recruitment & Outreach team as a Widening Participation Assistant. This role plays a key part in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of outreach activity designed to engage underrepresented groups and meet the University’s Access and Participation Plan targets.

You will deliver events and workshops, build relationships with schools, colleges, and community partners, and support the effective organisation of outreach activity, including the coordination and management of Student Ambassadors. You will also contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of activity to evidence impact and inform future delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience of organising and delivering events or activities, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Confidence in delivering presentations and engaging a range of audiences is essential, alongside a flexible, team-focused approach. Experience in student recruitment, working with underrepresented groups, or supporting Student Ambassador schemes would be advantageous.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
