We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly skilled and experienced MOT Technician to join a respected automotive service centre in Consett. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to join a well-established team that values quality workmanship and customer service. Up to £32,000 basic salary, with an OTE of up to £38,000. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm - no weekends. Stable employment with a long-standing client the company has worked with for years. Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
Duties of the MOT Technician:
- Perform MOT tests in compliance with DVSA standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards as an MOT Technician
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify wear, tear, and faults
- Assist with general servicing and maintenance tasks using the latest diagnostic tools and technology
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and communicate findings effectively to customers
Requirements:
- Valid MOT Licence
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience as an MOT Technician
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Capable of working to high standards and meeting deadlines
