Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and attention to detail, aswell as occasionally fitting on-site. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform welding using various techniques including TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and Stick welding to join metal parts securely.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to meet project dimensions and tolerances.
- Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, or fitting parts together precisely.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds and assemblies to verify quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding techniques such as MIG welding, TIG welding, or both.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- CSCS and IPAF preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or construction setting is preferred but not required.
