We are looking for Senior Care Assistants to join our dedicated team at Caldene Rest Home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting colleagues to provide the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Two vacancies are available, one is to work day shifts and one to work nights.

Caldene Rest Home is a 27-bed residential care home in West Bromwich, B70, providing specialist care and support for older adults and those living with dementia.

We pride ourselves on creating a warm, homely environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

  • Schedule: Rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Rate of pay: Up to £12.98 per hour
  • Required: Completed or working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the care team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high-quality care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans and involvement, where appropriate, in care reviews.
  • Ensure the safe storage, documentation and administration of medication is carried out in accordance with guidelines and training.
  • Support residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication management, and nutrition
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the care environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
