As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a calm, productive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Support students with queries and encourage engagement in learning activities
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues encountered
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in schools or with young people is desirable
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain discipline
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Flexible and adaptable to work across different subjects and year groups
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
