The Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Production Operative to support our Recycling Operations team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are key.
You will support all areas of the recycling process, including:
- Loading and unloading materials
- Machine operation and support
- Quality sampling
- Assisting the Production Team Leader with operational updates and process improvements
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production and recycling equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all SOPs, site procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Carry out pre-start visual safety inspections on machinery and equipment
- Monitor machinery performance to maintain optimal operating conditions
- Support continuous improvement activities across the shift
- Accurately identify, weigh, and record waste and regrind materials
- Ensure correct disposal and segregation of waste streams
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the production area
- Complete production documentation and bulk bag labelling accurately
- Work flexibly across multiple production roles as required
