A growing and well-respected accountancy practice is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity to manage your own client portfolio, develop your advisory skills and enjoy the benefits of a genuine four-day working week.
Working with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, you'll be responsible for delivering accounting, taxation and advisory services while becoming a trusted point of contact for your clients.
As an Accountant you'll also play a key role in supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities of this accountant role include
- Managing a portfolio of clients across various sectors
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Producing management accounts and financial reports
- Preparing corporation tax returns, personal tax returns and VAT returns
- Building strong relationships with clients and providing ongoing support
- Reviewing and supporting the work of junior team members
- Liaising with external advisers and ensuring deadlines are achieved
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional business support and advisory services
- We're keen to hear from candidates who may currently hold titles such as:
Practice Accountant , Client Manager, Portfolio Accountant, Client Accounts Manager, Business Services Accountant.
You’ll ideally be
- ACCA qualified, part-qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- At least 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing statutory and management accounts
- Knowledge of corporation tax, personal tax and VAT
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quick Books
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
