We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for accuracy to develop their career within a supportive and growing organisation. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconciling customer and supplier accounts and statements
- Assisting with credit control activities and resolving customer account queries
- Preparing payment runs and processing supplier payments
- Supporting payroll administration as required
- Providing general administrative support to the finance department
- Filing, organising, and archiving financial documents
- Assisting with month-end procedures and other finance-related tasks as required
Qualifications
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
