Band 6 - Rotational Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy | West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

We are looking for a passionate and committed individual to join our team of Rotational Clinical Pharmacists.

This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise across a variety of clinical specialties, including medicine, surgery, care of the elderly, and acute admissions.

The successful candidate will also gain valuable experience through rotations in clinical specialties including: Medicine, Surgery, Care of the Elderly and Acute Admissions and in rotations through Medicines Information, Technical and patient services.

The role includes

  • Providing pharmaceutical care to patients from admission to discharge on the wards.
  • Participating in the multi-disciplinary team at ward level.
  • Day to day working with the Medicines Management Technicians.
  • Providing prescribing advice and support to junior medical staff.
  • Educating patients about their medicines.
  • Participation in clinical audit.
