We are looking for a dedicated Activities Coordinator to join our supportive team at South Africa Lodge. South Africa Lodge is a 99-bed home providing exceptional care across six specialised units. We support residents living with complex needs, including neuro-degenerative conditions, dementia, and mental health challenges. Our focus is always on the person, not the diagnosis - creating a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment where residents can truly thrive. We are proud to be rated GOOD with CQC.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of 6-12 months' experience in a nursing/care home setting within the UK, in an activities-based role (essential).
  • Positive attitude to residents and a commitment to provide engaging and quality activities.
  • Ability to work alone as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families.
  • Experience of working with residents who have additional support needs (desirable).
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

Your Working Pattern: 8am until 6pm.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Plan, organise and coordinate activities for residents according to their needs, interests and abilities.
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of our residents.
  • Supporting our residents and encouraging them to partake in activities.
  • Keeping appropriate records of activities and assessment forms.
  • Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home.
  • Working within agreed activities budget.
