Main Duties
- Hand-picking and separating recyclable materials (such as plastics, paper, glass, and metals) from moving conveyor belts.
- Removing incorrect items, contaminants, or hazardous objects that can jam plant machinery.
- Operating and monitoring sorting equipment, screens, or computer touch screens.
- Baling, compacting, and stacking sorted materials for transport to processing factories.
Skills and Requirements
- Good physical fitness and stamina for standing, bending, or working in fast-paced environments.
- Strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene rules.
- Teamwork and communication skills to work safely alongside heavy moving plant machinery.
- No formal qualifications or prior experience are usually required, as on-site training is provided.
