As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in making every night safe, comfortable, and meaningful for the people we support.
Who will I be supporting?
- Two lovely ladies and a gentleman in their early 20s who share the home together.
- They have autism, learning disabilities, visual impairments and the gentleman communicates via body language and sign language and needing a good understanding of routines and structures.
- They attend college, day services and work placements, and like a lot of young people, they love being out and about socialising with their friends, spending time on social media and going to the pub for food.
- They also have loving and supportive families who they enjoy spending time with.
What will I be doing?
- Living in their own homes is a big step for these young people so we are looking for patient, empathetic, and positive people to support them through this next important stage of their lives.
- Day to day you will be supporting them to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves and to achieve their goals.
- Support will include prompting with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
What shifts are available?
- Waking Night - 10pm - 9am.
- Days, sleep ins - flexible to work a combination.
- We're looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes weekdays and weekends.
- Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to allow a healthy work life balance.
