GI Group are recruiting for FLT Drivers working for a Reusable Packaging company in Warrington (WA1)

  • 3 On 3 Off - Days or Shifts Patterns

  • Work Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily maintenance checks on forklifts and batteries. Any damage or required maintenance must be reported immediately to the manager.
  • Complete pre-start inspection sheets for each forklift at the beginning of every shift.
  • Always operate forklifts safely and responsibly, minimising the risk of damage and accidents.
  • Follow all operational rules and regulations related to forklift use (e. g., correct use of horns, safe handling procedures when using forks, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness in the cold storage area, ensuring all spaces are free from debris and waste bins are regularly emptied.
  • Maintain accurate records of crate, tray, and pallet movements.
  • Ensure pallets, trays, and crates are stacked safely and securely.
  • Maintain effective communication with all relevant site team members.
  • Provide accurate and timely weight information to all relevant personnel as required.
  • Ensure correct loading of crates and trays for each depot and customer, including compliance with pallet height and weight requirements.
  • Ensure that all site rules including Health & Safety are adhered to by all Forklift drivers and visiting Dales or other lorry drivers
