Gregory Distribution Ltd is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Administrator at our Mendip Avenue site. This key role supports the daily operations of the warehouse by providing essential administrative assistance and ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
The position involves:
- Maintain clear, proactive, and professional communication with customers, ensuring all enquiries and service-related matters are handled promptly and effectively.
- Accurately process customer orders, driver paperwork, and inbound and outbound documentation, ensuring all records are updated and maintained within warehouse and transport management systems.
- Manage customer stock within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
- Prepare, process, and file all warehouse documentation, including daily returns, delivery paperwork, and supporting administrative records.
- Coordinate trailer bays, run orders, and support daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
- Liaise with warehouse operations, transport teams, delivery depots, customers, and business partners to ensure deliveries are completed professionally, on time, and in full.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, customer queries, and operational issues promptly, escalating concerns to the Supervisor or Manager where appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support excellent service levels.
- Assist in the preparation of KPI reports, operational statistics, and other performance-related data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to the warehouse team and undertake additional duties as required within a fast-paced operational environment.
Previous experience within an administrative or office-based role is essential; experience within a warehouse, transport, or logistics environment would be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and maintaining high-quality standards. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also contributing positively as part of a team. Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
