Are you an experienced automotive professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire the next generation of vehicle technicians? We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Automotive Technician to join our Automotive & Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Further Education College, supporting the delivery of high-quality motor vehicle programmes in a modern workshop environment.
Working alongside lecturers and students, you will play a key role in maintaining industry-standard facilities, preparing practical learning activities and ensuring learners develop the technical skills required for successful careers within the automotive sector.
Qualifications and experience
- A Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
- Recent experience working within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repair procedures.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a workshop environment.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to supporting learners and delivering an outstanding student experience.
