The school is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a group of children in Year 3 with a range of additional learning needs, including Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference and helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will provide targeted support to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their individual learning goals.

The Role

  • Supporting a small group of Year 3 pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Delivering tailored support to children with Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism.
  • Assisting pupils with classwork and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, social interaction and independence.
  • Supporting children's academic, emotional and social development.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback on pupil development.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism.
  • Experience working with small groups of children who require additional support.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
