Are you a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs? Hays Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Walsall that is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their Inclusion Hub from September. Your new role: This is a fantastic opportunity to support children aged 3-5 with Special Educational Needs within a specialist Early Years provision. You will work closely with a small group of key children, helping them to access learning, develop their communication and social skills, and make progress in a supportive and engaging environment. You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring children's development, completing observations and assessments, and planning activities that are tailored to their individual needs and interests.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting children aged 3-5 with a range of Special Educational Needs
  • Managing a small group of key children within the Inclusion Hub
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting on children's progress and development
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities that support individual learning targets
  • Completing observations and assessments in line with the EYFS Framework
  • Supporting children's communication, social and emotional development
  • Working closely with the wider Early Years and SEND teams
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where children can thrive

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working with pre-school-aged children
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs within an EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • Experience completing observations, assessments and progress tracking
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new DBS application
