The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Walsall is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama / Music Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will teach Drama and Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression. You will support students in developing practical performance skills, composition, devising, script interpretation, music appreciation, and collaborative working while preparing learners for GCSE Drama and/or Music where applicable.
Working within a supportive Performing Arts department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to school productions, concerts, performances, and extracurricular activities that enrich the wider life of the school.
