We are seeking a skilled

CNC Operator with proven experience operating

HAAS CNC machines to join our client's established manufacturing team in Aldridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components and enjoys working within a fast-paced engineering environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, be able to work from engineering drawings, and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor HAAS CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and run CNC machinery to meet production requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T specifications.
  • Perform routine quality inspections using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
  • Ensure components meet required specifications and tolerances.
  • Identify and report any machine faults or performance issues.
  • Carry out basic preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure targets are achieved.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing principles.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls, CAD/CAM systems or CNC programming would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to health and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment.
