Duties of the MOT Tester:
- Conduct MOT tests on customers’ vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
- Diagnose and carry out repairs and servicing as needed
- Support workshop operations with other vehicle maintenance tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
- Keep accurate records of work undertaken and inspections completed
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards during interactions with clients
Requirements needed of the MOT Tester:
- Valid and active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
- UK driving licence with minimal points
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification preferred
- Alternatively, extensive experience as a qualified vehicle mechanic with an active MOT licence
