This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records relating to the Council's heating maintenance and compliance contracts, helping to ensure statutory and regulatory obligations are met. The post holder will manage servicing and inspection records, monitor compliance requirements, support contractor performance, and maintain up-to-date information to ensure the Housing Service delivers safe, compliant, and effective services to tenants.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to coordinate programmes of work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, using initiative to solve problems, improve processes, and achieve service objectives through a customer-focused approach.

What you will do:

  • Manage and maintain compliance records for housing assets, ensuring servicing, inspections, certifications, and statutory requirements are accurately recorded and monitored.
  • Monitor and report on landlord compliance obligations, including heating systems, electrical installations, lifts, fire safety systems, emergency lighting, LOLER-regulated equipment, and other safety-related contracts.
  • Coordinate contractor activities and performance, arranging servicing, inspections, repairs, meetings, and producing performance and statistical reports.
  • Support compliance assurance and data management, maintaining accurate property records, monitoring Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirements, and providing technical advice on housing asset data.
  • Lead and administer no-access procedures for essential safety inspections and annual checks, ensuring appropriate evidence and records are maintained to support enforcement action where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with housing teams, contractors, and external agencies, using housing management systems and technology to improve compliance monitoring, service delivery, and the effective management of housing assets.
