Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a new opportunity in Wakefield? Our client, a reputable automotive dealership, is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This role provides a platform for career growth within a well-respected company committed to quality service and employee development.

Competitive salary up to £40,000 dependent on experience Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays (08:30 – 12:30).

Opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicle repair tasks, including complex jobs like timing belts, gearboxes, and clutches. MOT licence preferred, but not essential, providing additional career progression options.

Supportive team environment with ongoing training and skill enhancement. Stable, long-term position within a reputable dealership.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:

  • Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards.
  • Carry out vehicle inspections and accurately identify faults.
  • Perform complex repairs such as gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts.
  • Complete all job documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding work carried out and findings.
  • Maintain high safety standards and adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician or Level 2 with substantial hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience within a busy automotive workshop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
  • Must hold a clean UK Driving Licence.
  • MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
