Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a new opportunity in Wakefield? Our client, a reputable automotive dealership, is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This role provides a platform for career growth within a well-respected company committed to quality service and employee development.
Competitive salary up to £40,000 dependent on experience Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays (08:30 – 12:30).
Opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicle repair tasks, including complex jobs like timing belts, gearboxes, and clutches. MOT licence preferred, but not essential, providing additional career progression options.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards.
- Carry out vehicle inspections and accurately identify faults.
- Perform complex repairs such as gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts.
- Complete all job documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding work carried out and findings.
- Maintain high safety standards and adhere to health and safety protocols.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician or Level 2 with substantial hands-on experience.
- Proven experience within a busy automotive workshop environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Must hold a clean UK Driving Licence.
- MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
