The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in modular accommodation solutions. We are seeking an experienced Stores Operative to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with warehouse and stock control experience looking for long-term employment with the potential of a permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring goods arrive in good condition
- Safely unloading vehicles using mechanical handling equipment
- Organising, sorting and maintaining warehouse stock
- Monitoring and managing stock levels
- Investigating and following up on late deliveries or missing items
- Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock takes
- Operating a Counterbalance B1 Forklift Truck
- Issuing materials and supplies to production operatives as required
- Ensuring all goods are stored safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or stock control position
- A valid FLT Counterbalance B1 licence would be desirable but not essential
- Strong stock management and inventory control experience
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
