Salary: £13.50 per hour

Food Hygiene level 2 is ESSENTIAL.

To provide a catering service for YPO employees at both of our Wakefield based sites. The role holder will need to be self-motivated and organized and able to fully comply with all environmental health regulations and to work in a team to achieve this.

  • Monitor and order stock from suppliers following menu planning
  • Responsible for stock taking and rotation of stock to minimise waste
  • Responsible for correct food labelling in line with new Food Standard Agency (FSA) guidelines
  • Work in line with current allergen legislation set out by the FSA
  • Preparation and cooking of food for daily menus
  • Record and monitor temperatures for cooked and chilled food
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area, following standards set by management for good hygiene and cleaning practices
  • To serve and assist customers, providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Maintain all catering equipment and report any unsafe practice or faulty equipment
  • To work co-operatively with colleagues to ensure that the function operates consistently and effectively in the implementation and application of all departmental procedures and policies
  • Ensuring that services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, YPO objectives and policies including those relating to Equality & Diversity, Customer Care and Health and Safety
  • To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post
