Orleans Primary School is a two-form entry school in St Margarets, in the borough of Richmond upon Thames. We are an ambitious school that puts pupils' experiences at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a School Administration Assistant and Receptionist to be the friendly face of our front office and a vital part of our dedicated school community. The school benefits from excellent transport links, with St Margarets' station a 5-minute walk away and regular bus routes nearby.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Term: Part-time, 0.6 to 0.8 FTE (19.5 to 26 hours per week), permanent
Salary: NJC4/5 Scale 7-10/12-15 (negotiable for the right candidate)
We are seeking someone who:
- Is enthusiastic, cheerful and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
- Has excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Google Docs/Forms, etc).
- Has experience of working with school management systems (Arbor etc).
- Demonstrates a good standard of literacy and numeracy, including GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
- Understands the dynamic, fast-paced nature of a school environment.
- Has experience of administrative systems and maintaining accurate records, ideally including some finance-related processes.
- Is a qualified First Aider or willing to undertake training.

- Highly organised and able to prioritise in a busy office.
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
- Be able to work with key school systems such as Arbor, CPOMS, and more.
- Able to support processes such as purchase orders, trip payments, invoice administration, and maintaining financial documentation under the guidance of the School Business Manager.
- A true team player who is adaptable, proactive, and ready to take initiative.
- Committed to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Willing to go the extra mile, including supporting school life and events such as those run by the PTA.
