We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to join our school as Learning Support Assistant, providing in class support to pupils. You will be part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team of support staff, providing exceptional support for learning and teaching at our school in order to provide a world class education for our pupils.

You may have experience working with young children, having been an LSA before. However, you may be returning to work after a career break, a career change or someone who has never worked in a school setting but who would like to. We put a lot of store in your rapport with young people as well as your experience.

The role will include:

  • Providing pupils with support specified by the teacher and SENDCo, and encouraging independence and responsibility for learning and behaviour.
  • Helping pupils to build self-esteem through positive interactions, praise and encouragement.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of SEN support plans and personal care programmes.
  • Promoting inclusion throughout the school and establishing positive relationships with pupils.
  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils as required.

While we ask you to support our Catholic ethos, being a practising Catholic is not a requirement; we welcome applicants from any background.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
