At St Richard Reynolds, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and highly supportive learning environment. We believe that every child deserves the tailored guidance needed to thrive academically and socially. We are seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to join our Primary team and make a real difference in our pupils’ lives.
The successful candidate will play a role in our Primary team by actively preparing tailored classroom materials and setting up engaging learning environments that spark curiosity and support lesson objectives. A major focus of this role will involve supporting pupils with diverse needs, ensuring that individual SEND and EHCP targets are met with care and consistency. Dedicated to pupil growth, you will promote independence by helping pupils build confidence in their own abilities while managing classroom behaviour positively to maintain a safe, focused and cooperative learning atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will possess GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent), alongside prior experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting. You should demonstrate strong literacy, numeracy, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively support our pupils. Crucially, we are looking for a professional who is patient, nurturing, proactive, and highly adaptable to changing classroom dynamics.
While we ask you to support our Catholic ethos, being a practising Catholic is not a requirement; we welcome applicants from any background.
