A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced, full-time nanny to provide 12 months’ maternity cover, beginning in September 2026, for a warm and welcoming family living in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire. The family is friendly, down-to-earth, and enjoys sport, music, and the arts. Knowledge of the Muslim culture is required.

The position is Monday to Friday, 7.00 am–7.00 pm (60 hours per week), with occasional babysitting required by prior arrangement. Any additional hours will be paid as overtime.

Initially, you will be caring for two happy, active children: a delightful seven-year-old girl and her energetic four-year-old brother. Mum is expecting the family’s third child in December, so the role will naturally evolve to include support with the new baby, so baby experience would be advantageous.

This is a true family support role, ideally suited to someone who is warm, fun, organised, proactive, and happy to help ensure the household runs smoothly. The family employs a cleaner, so your focus will be on childcare, alongside assisting with the day-to-day organisation of the home.

Both children attend school locally, and you will be responsible for the school runs, ensuring they are well prepared for each day and have everything they need. You will also support Mum with the baby when needed, giving her the opportunity to enjoy some well-earned breaks.

The parents are passionate about providing their children with a balanced and stimulating upbringing. They are looking for a nanny who will encourage learning and development through a variety of engaging activities, including reading, board games, puzzles, arts and crafts, imaginative play, and plenty of outdoor adventures, such as trips to the park.

Their daughter loves music, dancing, and helping with cooking, while their son enjoys being active and spending time outdoors. During the school holidays, and whenever time allows, the family would love the children to enjoy playdates and outings, helping them to socialise with other children while ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

The family lives in a spacious, peaceful home in a beautiful location, close to local amenities. As they already employ a cleaner, your household responsibilities will include helping to keep everything running smoothly between cleans. This will involve tasks such as emptying the dishwasher, managing the family laundry and ironing, keeping the home tidy at the end of each day, running occasional errands, and preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the family, with home-cooked food wherever possible.

You will assist with preparing bottles for the baby and, as the baby grows, support the introduction of solid foods. A good understanding of weaning and potty training is therefore essential.

A careful, confident driver with their own fully insured car is required. Duty mileage will be reimbursed at the current government rate. The family also enjoys travelling and would love their nanny to accompany them on holiday once or twice each year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, experienced nanny who enjoys becoming an integral part of family life and would like to support a genuinely lovely family during this exciting new chapter.
