Penair School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive Inclusion Team.

Grade E1 - £25,614 FTE Actual Salary: £8,888 per annum 15 hours per week | 0.347 FTE | Term Time

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

You will play a key role in supporting learning, encouraging independence, and promoting students' social and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned learning activities and intervention programmes, adapting support to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Work alongside teachers to plan, review and evaluate learning activities.
  • Support the monitoring, assessment and recording of student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage achievement and confidence.
  • Prepare and organise learning resources to enhance classroom activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.
  • Liaise appropriately with colleagues, parents, carers and external agencies to support student success.
  • Champion inclusion and help all students access learning and participate fully in school life.
  • Encourage resilience, independence and a love of learning.
