This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. As a result, the vacancy may be withdrawn or there may be a delay before shortlisting can begin.

This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Under the Data Protection Act, data subjects have a right to have access to and copies of their records. This role is to assist in the provision of these records.

You will be required to work as part of a small team, communicating effectively and courteously with a wide range of internal and external personnel. You will be involved in all aspects of locating personal files, both physical and electronic, and preparing them for disclosure to a tight deadline.

To work on your own initiative to prioritise, assist with the management and allocation of the administrative workload of the department within clearly defined policies and procedures, but understand when to seek assistance.

To clearly and accurately identify information which will be released to outside agencies and individuals (restricting information where appropriate), adhering to the Data Protection Act 2018, UK General Data Protection Regulation, and Access to Health Records Act 1990.

To record all requests on Datix (reporting system). To receive, log, and action any incidences of misfiled personal identifiable information. To take calls from the public, solicitors, and the Police in response to their requests.
