Vector Recruitment Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a specialist infrastructure business for a hands-on Transport Coordinator / Fleet Support professional.
This is a varied role combining transport coordination with practical fleet support.
You'll ensure vehicles, equipment and personnel are in the right place at the right time while helping keep the company fleet safe, compliant and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily movement of vehicles, plant, equipment and personnel.
- Schedule transport to meet operational requirements.
- Liaise with drivers, suppliers, hire companies and site teams.
- Maintain transport schedules, fleet records and compliance documentation.
- Monitor MOTs, servicing, inspections and vehicle performance.
- Assist with route planning and resolve transport issues.
- Deliver and collect vehicle parts, equipment and company vehicles.
- Carry out minor vehicle repairs and maintenance, including changing tyres, replacing wing mirrors, bulbs, wiper blades and completing basic vehicle safety checks.
- Report vehicle defects and arrange repairs where required.
- Provide general logistical support to operational teams.
Requirements
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet coordination or a similar role.
- Practical mechanical skills with the ability to carry out minor vehicle repairs.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience within construction, utilities or infrastructure is advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
