Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative (Main Towers Assistant) to join our dedicated team. In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military. Landmarc provides full training and continuous development opportunities, making this a fantastic opportunity to start a career on the Defence Training Estate. Location: Holbeach AWR, Durhams Road, Dawsmere, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE12 9NJ

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:15, Friday 08:00 - 12:00

About the Organisation

Landmarc provides the essential support services that enable Armed Forces to train for frontline operations across the UK Defence Training Estate. We maintain safe, sustainable infrastructure, operate training areas and ranges, and deliver major projects that enhance vital military training assets. What You’ll Do:

  • Operation of basic IT Systems
  • Face to face, Radio & Telephone Communication
  • Management of Range Booking Procedures (Email, Telephone, Paper & Electronic Booking records)
  • Recording basic information via IT and in written format
  • Meteorological Observations (Full Training Given)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a safety critical environment
  • An ability and willingness to learn new skills
  • Good communication skills Face to Face, Telephone and Radio
  • Competent in the taking in and recording verbally given information
  • Basic IT skills
  • Numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE and above)
  • A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
  • Experience in working as part of a team
  • Experience in Meteorological Observations (desirable but not essential)
