A leading privately owned construction consultancy based in the south coast is seeking a Trainee Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business with an extensive background as a reputable consultancy to regional contractors. The Trainee Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part in the development and future of the business.
This regional consultancy traditionally specialises in construction projects for regional contractors, packages valuing up to £30M across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and Surrey for framework clients. The role will report directly to the Health & Safety Manager, with a clear progression plan and development strategy in place.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting on-site audits and inspections
- Preparation of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate for the project teams
- Keeping up to date with the latest HSQE requirements including legislation and best practice
Requirements:
- Previous experience based on site within the construction industry is preferable
- Relevant qualification including either NEBOSH or IOSH
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Drive and determination for progression and learning
