Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:30am to 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am to 3:30pm

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering or manufacturing background who would like to move into an estimating role.

Full training can be provided for the right candidate.

As a Trainee Estimator, you will learn how to review technical drawings, calculate project costs, liaise with suppliers and support the tendering process from enquiry through to project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer enquiries, drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates.
  • Calculate labour, material and subcontractor costs.
  • Support the preparation of competitive tender submissions.
  • Work alongside production, project and commercial teams.
  • Maintain estimating records and databases.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience within engineering, fabrication or manufacturing.
  • Able to read technical information and drawings.
  • Good numerical and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Keen to develop a long‑term career in estimating.
