SALARY: up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits
LOCATION: Hybrid working with your time split working from home and visiting construction sites to carry out inspections across the Midlands and South England (Travel to sites will be up to 2 hours from Birmingham). You will also be required to visit the office in Warwick once per week.

JOB OVERVIEW
This is a great opportunity for a Trainee Building Surveyor who enjoys meeting people, working independently and taking pride in accurate, detailed work. As a Trainee Building Surveyor, you will visit construction sites across the South and Midlands to observe, photograph, log and record building information. You will then use your notes and site records to help prepare clear, detailed reports, while liaising professionally with contractors, site managers and other stakeholders.
The Trainee Building Surveyor role would suit someone with practical construction understanding, excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop inspection, reporting and technical skills, including AutoCAD and REVIT 3D modelling where appropriate.
DUTIES
- Visit Construction Sites: Travel to construction sites across the South and Midlands to observe and record building information.
- Capture Site Information: Take photographs, notes and records to support accurate inspection and reporting activity.
- Prepare Clear Records: Log site details carefully and help produce thorough, well-structured reports.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Communicate professionally with contractors, site managers, clients and other contacts.
- Represent the Company: Act as a positive, reliable and professional representative of the company during site visits.
- Learn Technical Skills: Develop new technical skills, including AutoCAD and REVIT 3D modelling where relevant.
- Maintain Accuracy: Ensure observations, records and reports are completed with excellent attention to detail.
