Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning profiles
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
- Use assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching strategies
- Differentiating learning to support individual needs
- Maintain clear routines and high expectations for behaviour and engagement
- Work collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding pupil progress and needs
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexible, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils who may be disengaged from learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to begin on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
