Job Overview
This role involves providing personal care and assistance to a client at home.
Responsibilities include washing, dressing, and supporting personal care needs, using a track hoist and wheelchair, and helping maintain client independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care (toileting, changing, bed bath).
- Moving the client from bed to chair and back using a ceiling hoist.
- Pushing the wheelchair as required, especially during hair wash days.
- Assisting with eating when necessary.
- Working Conditions
Place of work: Home.
Hours: 16 hours per week, including weekend work and coverage during sickness and leave for other part‑time caregivers.
Payment
Wages are paid monthly, with appropriate holiday pay provided.
Requirements
- Empathetic, patient, and understanding.
- Respect privacy and confidentiality in a home environment.
- Support and encourage client independence.
- Ability to handle manual tasks; training will be provided.
- Legal right to work in the UK and a DBS (Police Check) are required.
