Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run engineering company based near Tiverton for a CNC Machine Operator.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator, CNC Turner, CNC Miller, or CNC Machinist looking to join a growing engineering business.

Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience who are keen to learn are also encouraged to apply, as full training will be provided.

This role offers long-term career progression, including the opportunity to train as a CNC Setter.

Please note: Due to the rural location, your own transport is essential.

  • Operate CNC turning and milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.
  • Load and unload materials and finished products.
  • Produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out dimensional and visual quality inspections using measuring equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Identify machine faults or quality issues and report them promptly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • Follow all company quality procedures and Health & Safety standards.

Requirements

  • Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within precision engineering.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings is desirable.
  • Reliable and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
