Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Logistics Administrator to join a busy operation based in Dalton, Thirsk.

The successful candidate will have previous logistics and administrative experience , excellent IT skills, and the confidence to liaise with drivers and support the wider operations team.

The Role

  • Using in-house systems and Microsoft Office packages
  • Liaising with drivers and supporting inbound and outbound deliveries
  • Providing direct administrative support to Operations Managers
  • Working to targets and ensuring daily duties are completed within required timescales
  • Completing general administrative duties, including filing and maintaining records
  • Answering emails and telephone calls
  • Providing general office support where required
  • Working closely with the wider logistics team to ensure operations run smoothly
  • Being comfortable working on your feet and staying busy throughout the day

Requirements

  • Previous logistics and administrative experience is essential
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Friendly, polite, and approachable manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets
  • Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Must be available to work
  • Monday to Friday
  • Own transport is ideal due to the location and working hours
