A warm and welcoming family based in West Berkshire is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and caring nanny who can provide a nurturing environment for the younger children while bringing plenty of energy and fun to the older boys. The family is flexible regarding experience and is looking for someone who is confident taking overall responsibility for the children's care, routines, and development.
A driver is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will mainly care for the twin girls during the day while the two older boys are at school, approximately 15 minutes from the family home, from 8:00 am until at least 3:30 pm, with later finishes on some days. During school holidays, the family will arrange additional help with the older boys when needed.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, for 50 to 55 hours per week, with half a day off each week (timings to be agreed).
Duties include:
- supporting the morning routine and helping the older boys get ready for school
- caring for the twin girls throughout the day
- collecting the older boys from school when required
- planning engaging educational and developmental activities
- establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines
- ensuring the children's safety, well-being, and development
- preparing healthy meals for the children
- carrying out child-related housekeeping duties, including children's laundry and tidying their bedrooms and play areas
- creating a warm, fun, and nurturing environment that supports each child's individual needs
The family is looking for someone who can start in December 2026 or January 2027.
